We are a small team of education enthusiasts and Bihar-based content researchers who got frustrated with one simple problem — whenever a teacher needed help with the E-Shikshakosh portal, the information available online was either outdated, incomplete, or just copied from the official notices that most people could not understand easily.
That frustration is what built this website.

The official government portal is located at eshikshakosh.bihar.gov.in, which is maintained by the Bihar Education Project Council (BEPC) under the Bihar Education Department. We have no affiliation with that portal, no connection to the Bihar government, and no authority over any official data, teacher records, or student information.
What we do is explain how that portal works. We write step-by-step guides, troubleshooting walkthroughs, and plain-language explanations so that teachers, headmasters, and school staff can navigate it without confusion.
Think of us as a helpful neighbour who has spent time figuring out how the system works — and is happy to explain it to others.
Why We Started This
The E-Shikshakosh system covers hundreds of thousands of teachers across Bihar. From marking biometric attendance on the app, to registering on the portal for the first time, to resolving a salary hold — these are real problems that affect real livelihoods.
Yet when teachers searched online for help, they often found nothing useful. The official portal has no step-by-step guide. Government circulars are written in formal Hindi that not everyone finds easy to interpret. And the errors people faced — “Out of Range,” OTP not arriving, login loops, GPS failures — were going unanswered.
We started writing about these issues one by one. We tested the portal ourselves, read through official BEPC notifications, spoke with teachers about the problems they actually faced, and turned that research into articles that people could actually use.
Over time, this became eshikshaakosh.com.
